As a newcomer in the highly competitive Moto2™ series on world stage, Lukas Tulovic experienced a difficult start into the weekend understandably.

Lukas Tulovic quickly become friends with the longest track of the calendar today. But to find out the secrets of the right line still causes some problems for the 18-year-old rookie in Kiefer Racing because the 5,5 kilometres long curvy track at the massive Circuit of The Americas is also considered as one of the most difficult of the year. Therefore, the talent from Germany’s Eberbach eyes a lot of work till race day.

#3 Lukas TULOVIC (Kiefer Racing, KTM), FP1: P28 - 2´16.371 (16/16) / FP2: P27 - 2´14.585 (9/14)

"I was aware in advance that this weekend will be a daunting task for me. This track is extremely difficult in terms of its layout as well as the bumpy surface is an additional obstacle to get used to it. This, I noticed only today because it wasn’t to see in that seriously manner when walking and jogging around there. Of course, due to these circumstances and the length of the track it takes time to find out the secret of the fast line here."

"Unfortunately, I couldn’t improve my lap time during the final stages of this afternoon’s FP2. I was on a good run, so I think I could have gone up to one second faster. According to the weather forecast, it might be raining on Saturday. So, this would mix everything up again for qualifying though, I would prefer dry conditions. This track offers lots of fun, and I get along better with each lap, but I still need lot more laps to fully adapt to it. The gaps are unusual big, but this are due to the length, and because the COTA is so difficult at all."
