A turnaround in terms of weather has changed everything for the German team and his rookie Lukas Tulovic.

A fierce thunderstorm neatly scrambled Saturday’s proceedings in Texas. Due to heavy rain showers, all mornings session had to be cancelled ultimately. For series newcomer Lukas Tulovic, however, this was a big disaster as he would have needed FP3 to better understand the demanding Circuit of The Americas.

Starting time for the third race of the season is scheduled for Sunday’s prime time at 7:20 pm CET.

#3 Lukas TULOVIC (Kiefer Racing, KTM), Grid position 26th - 2´14.702 (6/7):

"For me, it was clear that things were going to be particularly difficult here at Austin. But that it would ultimately to be that much difficult, I honestly wouldn’t have thought. This morning’s rain shower has made things much more complicated once again, because that was why FP3 has been cancelled. In addition, due to the strong winds in the afternoon were not easy to deal with and during qualifying you simply have no more than 15 minutes at your disposal to put in a perfect lap. All-in all, the conditions were significantly different from yesterday. So, we had no choice then to make a few changes to the bike."

"Of course, I had to adapt to the changed behaviour first though first and foremost, we had to set up the gearing in a different way. All together has also had a positive impact, but I haven't managed to implement it in this short time. I just lacked the time to get better at this difficult and long track. From our point of view in terms of our speed, we could have landed one row more toward the front at least. So, it's a shame that it didn't work out at the end of the day. Tomorrow's race is sure to be an incredibly difficult task, and a very long one too. But I'm looking forward to it and the analysis of the time sheets shows that the riders immediately in front of me are not out of the reach. I dare to take a big step forward in the race and then to ride along with these guys."
