#AusrianGP: Nothing to lose on Sunday in Austria
For Sunday’s round eleven, Lukas Tulovic targets a turnaround for what is up to now a strenious weekend in the picturesque Styria.
During both days of practice, Spielberg newcomer Lukas Tulovic experienced more difficulties to get grips with the treacherous track at the Red Bull Ring than to set up his bike properly for the hilly circuit. Although the 19-year-old talent from Eberbach was able to improve considerably with every session, his progress compared to the competition wasn’t enough to be able to tackle the race more towards the front.
#3 Lukas TULOVIC (Kiefer Racing, KTM Moto2), Startplatz 30 - 1´30.963 (6/10):
"Honestly, I find it harder than I thought to get friends with the Red Bull Ring. In general, I like hard braking, but here they are very strange. Apart from that, I like fast and smooth sections more. At this track, however, a lap consists almost exclusively stop-and-go passages. So, Spielberg is not quite my favourite track from the point of view of its characteristics. It would take many more laps to get along better here."
"I also think that somewhere the worm is rougher inside. I’ve to try to get my mind free as soon as possible. In addition, we’ve still to find a solution for our braking issues. Today we went out with more brake pressure than the comparative data showed. Nevertheless, the bike doesn't decelerate properly. That's a decisive factor here with the three hard braking points along one lap. So, we'll look at the data again and tomorrow we'll have to be on full attack in the race."
