The 19-year-old newcomer to the world championship has quickly got along to the Buriram track and the conditions there, which have been unknown to him so far.

For Kiefer Racing, round 15 of the season started very well. Thailand-Rookie Lukas Tulovic performed flawlessly during both free sessions on Friday and he was able to complete the main task of the day in the twinkling of an eye. An improvement lap timewise by 1.2 seconds in much hotter temperatures in the afternoon underlines this fact very impressively.

#3 Lukas TULOVIC (Kiefer Racing, KTM Moto2), FP1: P29 - 1´38.759 (18/20) / FP2: P29 - 1´37.558 (14/17)

"Honestly, I would have imagined the conditions more blatant in terms of the heat here in Thailand. Of course, we were only 15 to 20 minutes at a time out on track per exit today. It was more exhausting than at the summer races in Europe, that's clear, but it went quite well. That's why I think it's going to be super exhausting in the race from halfway point of the distance. But it's certainly feasible. Apart from that, I quickly made friends with the Chang Circuit. Ok, the layout is not technically very demanding, on the paper it even looks pretty boring. But it's a lot of fun to ride here."

"That applies to the first section which is more angular as well as to the more fast and flowing parts. Beside of that, I've had a really good feeling with the bike since a long time. I think it is similar to Brno. So, the direction with regard to the set-up is the right one. During the second session we also made a big step. To finish Friday after FP2 just 1,6 seconds behind the leaders makes us confident. So, if we can take another step tomorrow, it should be a good weekend for us surely."
